Get-N-Bit offers a variety of different trips to fit everyone’s needs. We focus our efforts on Lake Erie walleye charters, but we also offer fishing charters on the Detroit River, Lake Michigan, as well as custom fishing trips across Michigan’s inland lakes for walleye, bass, panfish, and more based on seasonality. Two charter slots are available each day depending on weather – AM trips begin at 6:30, and PM trips begin at 2:30. We do offer specials throughout the year, so call to see what deals we have running!
Lake Erie has the largest population of walleye in the world, with more 10 lb walleye caught in the system than anywhere else in the world. Each spring, we’re lucky to have trophy class fish moving into the Detroit River and Lake Saint Clair from Lake Erie to spawn. As April moves towards May, the younger year class become abundant in the system and the number of fish entering the Detroit River increases and the bite gets more intense! With the liberal limit of 6 fish the limit catches are impressive and very frequent. These days are typically action-packed and are perfect for beginners, families, or showing off the local fishing to your buddies while they’re in town.

Your Chariot for the day
Our boat is a 2022 Lund Alaskan, powered by a 150 Mercury big tiller. We have an open floor concept to utilize max space for fishing, we are equipped with electronics powered by Garmin in the front and back of the boat, trolling motor and live scope and forward-facing sonar. Jigging and casting rods are custom built by Captain Cy. Trolling gear is provided by Okuma and Church tackle. The boat can fit up to 4 anglers plus the captain and his mate.
Captain Cy Sult
Captain Cy grew up in Central Michigan where his love for fishing was found as a small boy on the banks of the Chippewa River and ice fishing with his father in Northern Michigan. As a teenager he was introduced to Salmon on Lake Michigan and his fishing career was set in motion. Cy relocated to West Michigan in his twenty’s where he worked alongside of some of the best in the business. Twenty some years later his passion for fishing and guiding has overflowed into his family and Get-N-Bit Guide Service was born.
When you fish with Cy, you may get a chance to fish with one of his four children or wife Cindi, Get-N-Bit is a family-based business and we are excited to share our family with yours. Cy enjoys sharing his experience and excitement for fishing with his clients like they are family, be ready to spend the day on the water with this crew for a simple laid-back experience.

Get-N-Bit is located in Northern Michigan, on the shore of Lake Michigan, in the small fishing village of Pentwater. We started Get-N-Bit Guide Service to offer mobile fishing charters in upper and lower Michigan.
Captain Cy enjoys sharing his passion and excitement with anglers of all ages and skill levels. Get-N-Bit is also a family affair where you may have the opportunity to see one of our 4 kids or my wife working alongside on deck with Captain Cy. We love getting kids hooked on fishing!
